Saud House Crimes

Saud House conspires with Washington to take away Jordan’s custodianship of Al-Aqsa

Saud House conspiracies exceed the Palestinian issue liquidation through normalization with Israel and support of the American Century deal, but It reached to conspiring with the American administration to take Jordan’s custody of Al-Aqsa Mosque and holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.

Israeli and Arab media have repeatedly spoken of the intention of the administration of US President Donald Trump to grant the patronage of the Islamic holy sites in occupied Jerusalem to Saudi instead of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This has raised concerns in Amman’s political circles.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that any efforts by US President Donald Trump to amend the Jordanian guardianship of the Islamic holy sites in occupied Jerusalem and give it to Saudi would have disastrous consequences for the region.

The newspaper noted in an article by Victor Katan that there is a belief fueled by the US President’s Middle East peace plan that Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, the White House adviser, seek to grant custody of Islamic sanctities in occupied Jerusalem to the Saudi regime.

The newspaper said that the situation in Jerusalem, which has been occupied for decades, under which Jordan holds the custody of Islamic holy sites in the city serves the interests of various parties, and that any change to this situation may open a door of the conflict difficult to control.

The Israeli newspaper suggested that US efforts would raise concerns in some Western political circles as well, “given the record of the Saudi regime in supporting transnational terrorism.”

The newspaper considered that any bilateral agreement between Kushner and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on granting Saudi Arabia the right of guardianship over Al-Aqsa Mosque would be a violation of the terms of the peace agreement signed between Jordan and Israel and the understandings reached by the two sides with the Palestinian side.

The newspaper predicted that the agreement would be rejected by various Palestinian parties, especially after the Bahrain summit, in which the Kingdom participated with unprecedented enthusiasm and boycotted by the Palestinians. It is likely that the Palestinian parties will put aside their differences with Amman and seek their support in this issue.

Although there is no official confirmation of the news about Trump’s attempts to change guardianship over the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the writer says that its exclusion is unlikely given the close relationship between Kushner and ben Salman and the ambiguity surrounding the long-awaited details of the new US peace plan.

The article pointed out that the ambitions of the House of Saud in the custody of the Islamic sanctities in Jerusalem occupied and linked to the status of the Kingdom as a servant of the two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina and responsibility for the management of Hajj.

Any attempts to introduce a new party to the Custodian of the Holy City could open the door to other parties that it may see fit based on historical data such as Turkey and Egypt.

The writer concluded that the Trump administration, which considered that the reality proved that its expectations about the reaction of the Arab and Islamic street to the transfer of its embassy to Jerusalem exaggerated, was surprised by the magnitude of the major repercussions that may result from any change to the current status of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
