Saudi Prince: The Kingdom loves Netanyahu and fears losing him in the elections

A Saudi prince told the Israeli channel i24 that the ruling family loves Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and fears his fall in the elections this month.

Israeli websites quoted the Saudi prince as saying that Riyadh’s ruling family feared defeating Netanyahu in the elections scheduled for March 23.

The website i24, citing the Saudi prince, said that the Saudi ruling family closely follows the election campaign in Israel and hopes that Netanyahu will win.

The Saudi prince added, “The family not only prefers him, but they also love him. He has the required charisma, and he knows very well what he is doing.”

Netanyahu bragged

Netanyahu began the escalation against Iran, especially after the arrival of US President Joe Biden to power.

He declared his opposition to Washington’s efforts to return to Tehran’s nuclear agreement after the Donald Trump administration withdrew from it and imposed sanctions on Iran.

Netanyahu believed that dealing with Iran should be through escalation and sanctions to prevent it from developing a nuclear weapon or attacking Israel.

Observers believe that the normalization movement taking place in the Gulf, which Netanyahu boasted of being the one who managed it, is mainly due to Gulf countries’ desire to align with Tel Aviv as a force capable of deterring Iran in the region.

Netanyahu and Saudi Arabia

Netanyahu promised, recently, during his conversation with Biden, to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, whether or not Washington returns to the nuclear agreement.

Netanyahu visited Saudi Arabia secretly in November 2020. Reports said that he met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US Secretary of State at the time, Mike Pompeo, in the city of Neom, in the west of the Kingdom.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has recently increased his angry steps and repeated his bilateral contacts with Netanyahu to face the new American administration.

The Hebrew Channel 11 revealed that the de facto ruler of the Kingdom seeks to form a bilateral alliance with Israel in US President Joe Biden’s face.

The channel said that Saudi Arabia does not fear its concern about Biden’s anger at it over the human rights file and his desire to return to the nuclear agreement with Iran and other files.

It indicated that Tel Aviv is marketing itself to the Gulf states, as it is the intermediary capable of communicating with Biden.
