Conference in Beirut highlights violations of Saud House during Hajj season
Alharamain Watch, an international organization aims to monitor the the Saudi authorities of the Two Holy Mosques, organized a press conference in Beirut in cooperation with Islamic institutions, journalists and academics. The conference aims to expose the religious violations committed by the Saudi authorities and discuss the complaints of the pilgrims for this season.
The international commission presented the complaints it received from Muslims during this year’s Hajj season and the continued Saudi regime’s politicizing the Two Holy Mosques.
The commission said that all complaints were about the denial of pilgrims from the beginning for political reasons, as happened with citizens of Qatar, Syria, Yemen and the Republic of Congo and Muslim citizens opposed to Saudi Arabia or their governments allied with Saudi Arabia and racial reasons, as happened with the citizens of Syria, the Bidun, and foreign Muslim residents in the Gulf.
Some of the complaints were about exorbitant pilgrimage prices that did not allow pilgrims to provide money for the pilgrimage, others said they did not want their money to go to finance Saudi wars against Muslim countries.
The commission said that there were complaints received by the pilgrims themselves during the pilgrimage, such as insulting security for some pilgrims and drowning pilgrims with rain water and the invalidity of their tents or hotel rooms and security and safety systems, especially after the fire of the Palestinian pilgrims hotel.
The commission presented its semi-annual report which talked about the Saudi administration’s continued politicization of Hajj, violating the right of Muslims to practice their worship freely and without restrictions.
Sheikh Mohammed Nimr Zaghmout, head of the Palestinian Islamic Supreme Council in Lebanon and the Diaspora, “Today we go to the large Islamic synagogues and references to have a position in words and action because speeches alone are not enough. “It is no longer acceptable that the Wahhabi authority in Saudi Arabia monopolize the legitimate position.”
He added that “everyone has the right to participate in arranging the affairs of the holy pilgrimage season especially after the great failure proved by the Kingdom at all political, economic and religious levels. Doctrine and discrimination will not work because the compass of the Islamic nation will remain in Palestine, whatever the circumstances.
The Commission stressed that it is time to find a comprehensive Islamic administration made up of Islamic institutions and countries to manage the holy places in Saudi Arabia after the failure of the current administration to ensure that such errors are not repeated and attention to infrastructure and ensure that the pilgrimage is not affected by political differences between countries and not uniquely Saudi Arabia to take decisions that concern the world Islamic.
