Saudi’s latest tradition… congratulations to Israel on Hebrew year
Israel celebrated the congratulations it received from the Embassy of the Saudi regime in Washington on the occasion of the Hebrew New Year in the latest episode of normalization between the two sides.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry commented on the congratulations of the House of Saud as a “positive initiative” from the Kingdom.
The Saudi Embassy in Washington congratulated US Jews on New Year’s Day, a precedent that was the first of its kind in history, indicating the progress of normalization relations between the two sides.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said, according to its official page on Twitter: “We are pleased to see the greeting of Saudi Ambassador Rima Bandar to American Jews on the occasion of the Hebrew New Year.”
Israeli Foreign Ministry added: “We consider it a positive initiative and a step on the road of tolerance and mutual respect, so that these channels can deepen to serve the Jewish people as a whole and the Saudi people.”
A number of American Jewish journalists published a picture of a greeting card and a personal link from the Saudi Embassy in the United States to congratulate them on the Hebrew New Year for the first time in its history.

On Wednesday, NBC correspondent Josh Lederman, on his Twitter account, circulated a picture showing a congratulation card for American Jews signed by Riyadh’s ambassador to the United States, Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud.
“We wish you the occasion of Rosh Hashanah (Happy New Year),” said the official Saudi letter.
It is worth mentioning that Saudi relations with the Israeli occupation state has developed recently, especially with Saudi Arabia, which culminated in mutual visits and agreements and military deals, most notably the purchase of Riyadh “military iron dome” defense system from “Tel Aviv”, as revealed by the “Gulf” Online, ”last September.

Bin Salman reportedly pledged to help US President Donald Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which later became the nucleus of a US dictation plan to liquidate the Palestinian cause, known as the “deal of the century.”
A recent American documentary on Bin Salman recently showed the Washington Post’s military analyst David Ignatius, who quoted Ben Salman as saying: “I see a Middle East in which Israel is part… I am ready to recognize it and establish trade relations with it,” adding that Ben Salman “enticed” the US administration and became the focus of the plan that Kushner continues to promote.
Bin Salman implicated the kingdom in pushing for the passage of the so-called American Century Deal to liquidate the Palestinian cause and recognize the State of Israel over the entire territory of occupied Palestine.
