MBS Involved in Morocco’s Normalisation with Israel
Reliable sources revealed to Saudi Leaks a pivotal role played by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in pushing Morocco to declare normalization with Israel by offering major political and financial inducements to Rabat.
The sources stated that bin Salman pledged to support Morocco in the issue of Western Sahara, including studying the option of opening a consulate for the Kingdom there, similar to the recent step of the UAE.
The sources indicated that bin Salman also pledged to provide financial support and major economic investments in Morocco in order to encourage them to declare normalization and make the American mediation work.
Hebrew newspaper Yediot Aharonot confirmed that bin Salman, whose family owns luxury palaces in Rabat, played a major role through talks with the Moroccan monarch, and influenced the Moroccan decision regarding normalization with Israel.
According to an advisor at the Royal Palace in Morocco, bin Salman seems to be drawing up a list of other Arab and Islamic countries such as Indonesia, Djibouti, Mali and Pakistan to establish a normalization relationship with Israel.
The newspaper indicated that after the circle is completed, and a real rapprochement with Israel is achieved, Saudi Arabia will announce, in accordance with Bin Salman’s announced plans, the normalization of relations with Israel.
The newspaper pointed out that the announcement of reaching an agreement for normalization between Morocco and Israel in exchange for American recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Western Sahara and the provision of Morocco with four unmanned aircraft, of the offensive model, “Reaper EQ9”, came after a year of intense secret negotiations.
In addition to bin Salman, the US President’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner and the special advisor to the Moroccan monarch of Jewish origin Andre Azoulay, who was secretly involved in planning relations, participated in those talks.
Kushner deliberately exposed bin Salman’s plans regarding the future of relations with Israel and Riyadh’s recognition of the occupying state.
Kushner stated that the normalization of relations between the House of Saud regime and Israel is “a matter of time,” after Donald Trump announced that Morocco would recognize Israel and establish normalizing relations with it.
“Rapprochement between Israel and Saudi Arabia and full normalization between them at this stage is inevitable, but the timetable should be worked out,” Kushner told reporters in Washington.
