A source in the Saudi Ministry of Health revealed to Saudi leaks that the princes of the Al Saud family, their families and senior officials in the regime would be prioritized for COVID-19 vaccine.
The source stated that the Royal Court issued strict instructions regarding the mechanism for distributing the vaccine and the groups that will receive it, and it will start with the princes.
The source expressed shock with the Ministry of Health officials for interfering in the Royal Court in terms of the mechanisms of distributing the jabs and ignoring the standards of the World Health Organization, which is based on prioritizing the elderly and medical staff.
The Saudi Minister of Health Tawfiq Al-Rabiah announced that the Kingdom received the first shipment of Covid-19 vaccines on Wednesday morning and that the vaccine will be distributed within the next three days.

Al-Rabiah asked citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia to register for the vaccine and reiterated that it would be free for all. Still, he did not give any dates for granting it to the citizens.
The Minister of Health, instructed by the Royal Court, has also deliberately concealed the number of doses received by the Kingdom and the type of vaccine.
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority “Sadaa” said that they would soon add a new service for reserving an appointment to receive the vaccine through the Tawakkalna application. This will be announced through the official Tawakolna channels, the application, the website and their social media accounts.
Sadaa called on all users of the Tawakkalna application to update the application through Google Play, App Store and App Gallery.
The Saudi health authorities had registered the Pfizer and Biotech vaccine against Covid-19 to import and use it in the Kingdom, becoming the second country in the Gulf to give the green light to the vaccine.
