Saud House caused a systematic weakening of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

The OIC General Secretariat will hold, in its headquarters in Jeddah, the exceptional open-ended executive committee meeting at the level of foreign ministers of the OIC member states to discuss the situation regarding the Palestinian issue and occupied Jerusalem after the American administration announced the plan of the century deal days ago.

The State of Palestine called for the urgent session at the level of foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which is the second largest inter-governmental organization after the United Nations, as it includes fifty-seven members.

It is scheduled that the meeting will adopt a resolution by the organization similar to the resolution adopted at the level of the Arab League, confirming the position of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its member states from rejecting the so-called American-Israeli “deal of the century”.

The meeting will be held amid evidence of a systematic weakening of the Saudi regime of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, after having emptied it of its content and weakened its position due to its meager attitudes and decisions.

The Organization of the Islamic Conference appears powerless and has no value or any movement or any role in the Islamic world. Rather, it has become marginalized and only issues statements at the behest of the Saudi regime.

The Kingdom provides the headquarters to the Islamic Organization and covers its financial expenses, which made it the most prominent role in disrupting the activation of the organization that was founded on the floor of the burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque but turned into a weak marginal organization.

Moreover, the Saudi regime used the Organization of the Islamic Conference to serve its agendas and positions and to fight its opponents from within the member states of the organization.

In addition, the Saudi regime has often pushed the organization to issue statements in support of it unfairly, including the organization issuing a statement endorsing the preliminary rulings issued by the criminal court in the Kingdom regarding the murder case of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, despite its universal condemnation.

The Saudi system also uses the Kingdom’s hosting the headquarters of the Islamic Organization to serve its political interests and interests and use it as a lever on the member states of the organization.

In this regard, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that Riyadh prevented its delegation from participating in the meeting of foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation scheduled today.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Abbas Mousavi, said that his country had received an invitation from the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, to participate in the Jeddah meeting today, but the Saudi government, which hosts the organization’s secretariat, refused to grant entry visas to an Iranian delegation headed by Assistant Foreign Minister Hussein Jabri Ansari to participate in the meeting.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry accused Riyadh of “violating the obligations of the host country of this international organization and the declared principles on the mechanism of action of these organizations on the need to ensure the free participation of member states in all activities.”

Mousavi said that the Kingdom has tightened, in recent months, procedures to refuse the participation of delegations from Islamic countries, including Iran, in the meetings of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, but he did not name those countries.

He also accused the Kingdom of “using the hosting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and using it inappropriately in order to secure its interests and political ambitions,” revealing that the Iranian Foreign Ministry sent an “official protest letter to the organization’s general secretariat.”

He added that the Kingdom’s authority to host the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation “has become a matter of serious doubts.”
