Academic Turns Into Suspicious Defender for MbS

A Saudi academic turned from an opponent to the regime into a suspicious and controversial defender under instructions from the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is known to buy public figures in the kingdom to promote his conspiracies.

For years the academic Kassab al-Otaibi presented himself as an opponent of the Saudi regime where he lived in London and took opposing positions.

But returned to the Kingdom and suddenly became one of the most loyal supporters of MbS and even promoters of his conspiracies and his shameful positions, which represent a shift in the constants of the Kingdom.

Al-Otaibi was previously accused those who call for normalization with Israel as “more dangerous than Zionists,” but his positions are witnessing a dramatic change.

As it provoked controversy by publishing a tweet claiming that there is no holiness to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

“There is no sanctity for any country except Saudi Arabia, and there is no sanctity for any mosque other than the Holy Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah,” Al-Otaibi said on Twitter. “As for Jerusalem, its sanctity is as any house of God, as is the mosque of our neighborhood. ”

“Don’t let them foul you slogans that are marketed to stifle minds and hearts.”

Last month, Al-Otaibi attacked the Algerian team and described them as cats because of their performance in the final of the African Nations Cup, sparking considerable controversy through social networking sites.
